The Beginning
Run by Yorkshire couple Helen and Anthony, brought together by their love of the countryside, a slower, calmer pace of rural life, and the joy of hands-on farming. Ironic, really, when you consider they’re also raising a small army of five children. Haddon Farm Hideaway is a small, peaceful adults only glamping retreat tucked away in one of our open fields, creating a life lived close to the land.
At its centre is Haddon Farm, our family home. The farmhouse once operated as a traditional B&B, welcoming guests indoors for many years
— long been a place where people come to rest.
"Rather than inviting guests into our home, we would invite them into the landscape itself."
As our family grew — we now live here with our five children — the house returned to being just that: a home. Looking out across our fields, the answer became clear. Rather than closing that chapter completely, we chose to take it outdoors — into the fields, the views and the open space that define daily life here. Haddon Farm Hideaway sits gently within one of our fields, offering guests the same warmth and care we’ve always valued, but in a quieter, more natural way.
The idea for Haddon Farm Glamping grew from family gatherings, long conversations around the table, and a deep appreciation for rural life. We wanted to preserve the character of the farm while opening it up in a way that felt respectful and sustainable.
Haddon Farm Hideaway was created from a simple idea: that time spent in nature should feel both grounding and special. We believe comfort and the outdoors don’t have to be opposites. Here, luxury means space to breathe, thoughtful details, and experiences that reconnect you to the land and to each other.
Our glamping retreats blend the charm of farm life with modern comforts, offering a peaceful escape without sacrificing ease. Whether you’re here to unplug, celebrate, or simply rest, Haddon Farm invites you to settle in and stay awhile. Every structure, path, and field has been designed with intention. We’ve restored rather than replaced, enhanced rather than altered, and allowed the natural landscape to lead the way.
This is a real, working farm, shared with alpacas, sheep, goats, chickens and ducks. The days are shaped by seasons, weather and animals, and the Hideaway has been designed to follow that same rhythm.
Our pods are positioned to feel immersed in the landscape rather than separated from it. You’ll hear farm sounds, see changing skies, and experience the countryside as it truly is — peaceful, imperfect and grounding.
At the same time, comfort matters. Each pod has been carefully finished with natural textures, calming tones and a boutique touch, alongside modern essentials and your own private hot tub, set beside the pod for uninterrupted relaxation.
Our Team & History
Haddon Farm is still a hands-on, family-run operation. Our small team wears many hats—farmers, hosts, builders, caretakers—and each of us helps keep the place feeling like home.
You’ll probably see Helen out front, welcoming guests and always nearby if you need anything at all—nothing is too much trouble, and she’ll make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Anthony is just as busy behind the scenes, quietly keeping everything running as it should.
We take pride in personal touches: greeting guests, tending the land daily, and constantly refining the experience. It’s this care and continuity that guests often feel but can’t quite put into words.
To offer peaceful, nature-led stays that encourage rest, reconnection and a slower pace of life — all while caring for the land and sharing the simple beauty of farm living.
We want Haddon Farm Hideaway to be a place people come to breathe more deeply, walk a little further, and leave feeling restored. Our vision is to grow gently and sustainably, keeping the farm's character intact while creating memorable stays rooted in nature, comfort and authenticity.
What We Stand For
We share this land with care and respect, keeping the farm at the heart of everything we do.
Luxury here is quiet - a space to breathe. Luxury, to us, means warmth, quality, and attention to detail — cosy interiors, beautiful views, and spaces that feel calm and considered.
Family-run, hands-on and personal. We care deeply about how our guests feel when they arrive — and when they leave.
We believe rest comes from simplicity: open views, long walks and evenings with nothing planned.
From farm-fresh ingredients to quiet evenings under the stars, we value real moments over rushed ones.
We support local makers, farmers, and craftspeople, and we love bringing people together in meaningful ways.
